Do I keep ownership of my manuscripts and exports?
Yes. Manuscripts, generated voices, EPUB files, PDFs, and other exports stay under your control. The Workshop is designed to help you produce and retrieve your files, not lock them away.
What file types can I import?
You can import EPUB, DOCX, and TXT manuscripts. Each import includes a review step so you can confirm the detected structure before committing it to a manuscript version.
Can I download generated files?
Yes. Completed jobs attach their outputs as assets, including EPUB, PDF, and audio files when those jobs produce downloadable files.
Can I edit a translation after it is generated?
Yes. Translations are saved as manuscript versions, so you can inspect and edit the resulting chapters instead of treating the output as a sealed file.
Can I regenerate only one chapter?
Yes. Translation and audiobook workflows include chapter-level regeneration so you can revise a specific section without rerunning the entire project.
What happens if a job fails?
The job keeps its status and error message so you can review what happened. Existing manuscript versions and previously generated assets are not removed just because a later job fails.
How do plan limits work?
Plans control monthly translation words, audiobook words, build counts, profile counts, and concurrent jobs. Chapter regenerations count toward the relevant translation or audiobook word allowance, and the project dashboard shows current usage against your plan.
Is this for authors, publishers, or both?
Both. Individual authors can manage one book at a time, while presses can reuse profiles and workflows across a larger catalog.
What does AI usage mean here?
AI-assisted features can help generate translations and narration, but editorial review remains important. Treat generated text and audio as production drafts that should be checked before publication.
